This is our first correspondence, usually by telephone or email to discuss the location of the project. From there we can meet in person, for the first site meeting and define the initial brief.
The brief may evolve through the process, (normally during Work Stage 2 - Concept Design) as we explore different options, but during stage 0, we will help to define your brief and our fee proposal by way of an estimate or agreeing a rate.
Gathering survey information to determine a sites restraints:

Surveys: Measured building surveys, Photographic surveys.

Drawings: Digital models and drawings of the existing site features.

Mapping: Obtaining Ordnance Survey data for the site.

Records: Obtaining service records (electricity, gas, water, telecoms and drainage), Planning records.
Here we explore the potential of the site, producing sketch proposals for client discussion.
